random colorful pixels on ipad screen

these have been here for around half a year or so. i’ve always thought it was my screen protector, but even without it, theres a ring of colorful pixels/light in the center of the screen. it’s most visible against a dark background. i draw a lot, and have had the ipad for almost three years, but i don’t think it could have been that long for this mysterious ring to show? what is this, and how can i get rid of it? it’s a little hard to capture on camera, but you can see a faint circle, and a blurry white line on the top of the image.
