Managing personal iphones with work macs with two icloud accounts

I have a team of 8 employees who all have business MacBooks. Some of them also have personal iPhones and iPads. They need to use features like sidecar, message notifications, and imessage across the devices but they can't sign into two accounts on their mac.

How can they get the value of a single ecosystem when they can't link their mobles to the mac if they are signed into different iCloud accounts? (Work on mac, personal on iOS).

I feel like this is not a unique issue and wondering how else people have solved it?

You may wish to investigate managed apple IDs through a MDM. But, some features are disabled, like sidecar. User Enrollment and MDM - Apple Support

You may wish to allow the users to simply use their personal Apple IDs on the work machine or provide phones/iPads to your employees.

Hi Muguy,

Thanks for the suggestion. I have investigated it and after weeks of struggling and many phone calls, I have realised that its not built for an SME. If you are a corporate with hundreds of employees and don't want them to mix personal and work devices, then MDM is great. But for small businesses like mine, it does not practically work.

I appreciate your help, but I have come to the conclusion that we can't use Apple software for work, and my staff will just log in with their personal iCloud accounts on their work macs. We will be using Google workspace for things like Slides and will purchase apps online and not from the Appstore.
