wi-fi speaker asking for airplay password?

I'm new to ios, have an X, ios 16 or current version. I have a lithe wi-fi speaker that is asking for airplay password. I'm updating the firmware so I'm in the backend installing it, and this came up

Airplay password:

"The name will appear as the product name in the Airplay. Airplay Password will add authentication to access from iTune & iOS stream. Empty Password field will disabled the authentication"

I'm a windows guy, not familiar with itunes or anything. Actually there is a problem with the app seeing my entire music library which sits on my win 10 pc (server) and is 64gb. Their app is only seeing half of it, hence the "beta" version of the firmware which is supposed to fix the issue.

Android didn't ask for it which is where I came from. Should I put the password in, where do i find that in settings on the iphone X of mine, i manage server/streaming options on pc. My wife also has a X10r

Thanks in advance.

Hmm. See If you're asked to enter an AirPlay password on Apple TV - Apple Support for background. AirPlay devices may be configured to allow for password protection so that other users on your network cannot necessarily connect without your permission. Maybe this speaker is trying to mirror that facility. I don't think it is actually asking for your Apple ID password or some value buried in the settings of your device. Leave the password field on the speaker blank and move on with the rest of the setup.
