MBP M2 battery life

I have an MBP with the M2 chip. I use a docking station in order to have two external monitors. So when I am working (night and day) the laptop is plugged into the docking station and therefore the battery is being charged night and day. My experience is that this constant charging is bad for battery health. I unplug from the docking station when I am sleeping, but this does not drain the battery enough. For my use case should I turn on Optimized Battery Charging? Or is it better to turn it off?

It would be nice if I could just turn off battery charging altogether while I am working and drain the battery so that it could be recharged on my command.
