apple tv app

Hi, I have signed up with a free trial, I can watch on my iphone, but the tv app keeps telling me to start free trial when i try and watch on the tv. Can anyone help please?

Sign in to the Apple TV+ app, through the in-app Settings (sprockets wheel icon), using your Apple ID account that has this subscription.
