Photos wont open after upgrading to Ventura

I upgraded my MacBook Pro to ventura, and now the Photos app appears to be gone. I can still access the photos themselves on other devices, so I don't think they are lost, mearly my access to them

Where have you been looking for the Photos.app?

Photos should be installed in the Applications folder. Look in the folder Applications on your Macintosh HD. Then drag the Photos icon back to the Dock and you should be able to launch Photos again.

Have you really been using Photos or still been using iPhoto? iPhoto can no longer run on macOS 13 Ventura and will appear as crossed out in Applications, but ist successor Photos should be available, as it comes with the system.
