my watch face keeps changing the font on my dial
Try rotating the digital crown. To my surprise it changes the font when you do that. In fact they write about it in the description.
Looks weird to me but that’s how it is
On mine it stretches the numbers but the actual font stays the same.

you can just remove the ones you don't one to use from the watch

It should not do that spontaneously.
First force restart the Watch
i.e. press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.
Then, although it may seem irrelevant, Force Restart the paired iphone Force restart iPhone – Apple Support (UK)
Observe the behaviour. If it is still misbehaving...
Unpair and erase your Apple Watch
and then
If no better you may want to unpair then set up without restoring the backup.
You may also want to make sure the software on the watch and iphone are up to date. OS9.2 and iOS16.2

Yes that is the same face that I have had trouble with, I normally change it back but decided to stick with it the last it happened to see what happens. To my surprise it corrected itself and I haven’t had the problem since but that change coincided with the latest update, so maybe apple has corrected the problem.
Force restart doesn’t help. The systems both on watch and iphone are updated to the latest versions.
The watch is brand new - has just been configured for the first time. So I see no point in erasing and restoring.
Given I’m not the only one with this issue, and on this specific face - I assume this is just some bug
I’ve been running into this same problem since the update in the fall. I hoped the subsequent updates would have resolved this but it hasn’t. I’m experiencing it with the Metropolitan face…
It’s not the actual face that changes but the numerals change to a different font everything else stays the same
Same here, and it is rather annoying as it changes to some gothic font that is not readable well enough
Nope, if it was a bug then a few hundred million owners would have it.

Must be intentional but as someone said weird.
This is it! The reset isn’t necessary or helpful. Just wish there was a way to set the font to stay the same as my long sleeve shirts keep changing it.

Use a face other than Metropolitan. I recommend Utility or California
