Duplicate Apple Music notification

Hi, I was subscribed to Apple Music and my mobile phone provider gave me 6 months free. So I cancelled my existing subscription and when that expired I activated the free one from EE.

I am not being nor have been charged twice at any point, however when I open Apple Music I get the following notification showing at the top of the screen-

You have two Apple Music subscriptions. Avoid duplicate charges.

I click the link and it states that the prior subscription has been cancelled yet the message keeps reappearing.

is there any way to stop this notification from reappearing?

Good day frosty64,

Are both subscriptions set to bill through your Apple ID or is one set through your Apple ID and one through another source, such as your wireless carrier? Do you use your Apple Music subscription with any other devices and if so, does this same message appear?

How to switch to a different subscription plan

Switch your subscription plan on your iPhone or iPad
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
3. Tap the name of the subscription that you want to change.
4. Tap See All Plans, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete your purchase.
5. If you chose a subscription that you can share with family, turn on Share with Family. (Don't see Share with Family? Set up Family Sharing or join a family, then return to your list of subscriptions and turn on Share with Family.) If you don't want to share the subscription with your family, turn off Share with Family.

When you visit the location above, is the original subscription indeed expired?

Thanks.
