Photos not synching with iPhone on Ventura

Updated to Ventura last Friday and synching with iCloud photos between iPhone and iMac hasn't updated. The Photos app on my iMac hasn't changed since Friday, the day I installed Ventura. Today is Tuesday, no change. - Anyone else having iCloud synching issues with Photos in Ventura?

Both of those messages indicated work still needing to be done. On the Mac, downloads won't happen until it catches up on uploads, so they may appear to be stalled. On the iPhone, it gave you a couple of clear indications that syncing was paused and how you could resume it. In both cases, keeping the device connected to power and the network (and awake in the case of the Mac) will reduce the time until sync is complete.

I'm just surprised by the length of the time it took to synch with the Mac. Thanks!

The status showed you had thousands of photos to sync to the cloud. Except for those lucky enough to have home fiber optic service, most home users have much better download speed that upload speed, so sync to the cloud can take much longer than sync from the cloud. Either can take quite a while if the Mac is allowed to go to sleep when not in use.
