How to transfer IOS files from Mac to UBS disk?

I'd like to transfer a IOS files from my MacPro to an external disk, as I am running of disk space in my MacPro. I have attached an external disk to transfer out the IOS file, but was not able to do so. My only alternative is to "delete".

But I do not wish to delete this IOS backup file, but transfer out of my computer?

Is there any way?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.6

Hey sjfromgreenwich,

From what we understand, you'd like to transfer an iOS backup file to an external hard drive. "Though you can copy the Backup folder, you should never move it to a different folder, external drive, or network drive."
