this package was signed with an invalid certificate

I have built a Microsoft Defender for Mac install for my users and although I have created a signed certificate with our Developer account, when installing, the users are still getting "this package was singed with an invalid certificate"

What am I doing wrong? Ideas?

Are you signing with the "Developer ID Installer: [YourOrgName]" certificate? If not, use that one.
