can sony xm5 headphones connect to mackbook pro via bluetooth? if so, it's not working for me.

trying to connect my headphones to my computer via bluetooth and it's not working. my computer is running on ventura 13.0. the headphones do connect with the cable that came with them, but it doesn't seem to connect via bluetooth. for measure, my headphones also connect with my iphone and ipad, just not my macbook.
