This song is not synced across all your devices

I am getting the above error when accessing music content which I had purchased outside of iTunes. The songs were synced to my apple music. However I can't access them anymore because the computer I used to have connected is broken. When I go into my apple music library on my phone I can delete the music that is grayed out from my library, re-add it from Apple music, only to get the same error again.

My question: how can I make apple music forget I ever had previously synced music and just allow me to add whatever I want to my library so it isn't grayed out anymore?

Hey dtlaco01,

We'd love to see if we can help get the issue resolved for you. If you're signed into the same Apple ID as you were with your computer in iTunes, you should be able to access the tracks if your settings are correct. Let's check to see if your library is set to sync across devices, this should make sure that your library is available on all devices signed into your Apple ID.

Here's how to check:

  1. Settings
  2. Music
  3. check to be sure Sync Library is enabled

Reference: Use Sync Library to access your music library across your devices - Apple Support

Since you're unable to access your music Library on the computer that it is located on, and the setting may not be enabled there, we would recommend reaching out to Apple Support if enabling Sync Library on your device doesn't resolve the issue. They may be able to assist you further in deleting them tracks so you can download them from Apple Music.
