Apple Wallet will not accept Vanilla Gift card
Am I also not able to add my vanilla visa gift card to my apple wallet instead of adding it to payment methods?

As mentioned in Set up Apple Pay, you will need the following:
"To use Apple Pay, you need:
- A compatible device with the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, watchOS, or macOS.
- A supported card from a participating card issuer.
- An Apple ID signed in to your Apple device."
If you're unsure if your card is from a participating card issuer, contact the card issuer.
