Keycaps app

Does anyone know of a replacement for the old "KeyCaps" app? It was the app that lived on the toolbar and would show you a keyboard with all the characters for a specific font/key combination. It made it easy to see which character each keyboard key would generate for a given font. It made locating a special character or dingbat so easy.

Oh it still exists.

Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Keyboard and Mouse -> Keyboard -> Input Sources -> Show Input menu oin the menubar checkbox. This will appear next to the clock and have a Keyboard Viewer.

In Unicode systems MacOS you normally do not see different characters on a keyboard viewer by changing the font, as all fonrts show the same thing for the same codepoints. Instead you use a different keyboard mapping or the Character Viewer. Keyboard Viewer doesn't provide any way to change fonts.
