icloud.com photos empty

I have just logged in to iCloud.com on my PC and gone to Photos, and it is showing as 'no photos or videos'. I know I am logged in, as I can see my Notes, iCloud Drive etc. Photos is turned on on my phone/ipad and they sync fine. If I upload a photo on iCloud.com it immediately shows on my phone, but still nothing (including the one I just uploaded) is shown on iCloud.com.

Greetings ElGordo51,

If you have not already done so, you may want to start by making sure that iCloud Photos is enabled correctly across all your Apple devices, and for your correct Apple ID. Make sure all devices are logged in using the same correct Apple ID. Check out more info on setting up iCloud Photos here: Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
1. Go to Settings > [your name].
2. Tap iCloud.
3. Tap Photos, then turn on iCloud Photos.

Please note that there are steps listed there for other Apple device types as well if you need them.

If you use other Apple devices, do the photos send from the iPhone to those other Apple devices? If not, try to power off and restart all the devices. Then, try to sync again and see if you have the same issue.

Best wishes.

Hey ElGordo51,

Thanks for clarifying. This article has multiple sections with steps that may be able to help.

"How do I download all of my photos and videos to my Windows PC?

In iCloud for Windows 11.1 and later, optimized versions of all photos and videos automatically download to your PC once you enable iCloud Photos. Open the photo or video to download the full version.

In iCloud for Windows 10 and earlier, after you turn on iCloud Photos on all of your devices, any new photos and videos you add to your library will automatically download to your PC.* You can also download your photos and videos by year. You can find the download button by clicking iCloud in the Windows Notification Area.

* New photos and videos automatically download to your PC at C:\Users\your name\My Pictures\iCloud Photos\Downloads."

I felt sure I had replied to this....

Yes, as I said in original post, iCloud Photos is enabled, and syncing happily between iPhone and iPad. Also, iCloud.com on PC is definitely signed in, as I can see other aspects of my iCloud account (notes, files, reminders etc). Only photos not working. And photos works perfectly between iPhone and iPad. I can even upload o photo, in the iCloud/Photos part of iCloud.com on my PC, and it will appear on my iPad and iPhone, but still

shows as ‘no photos or videos’ on PC.

Hi ElGordo51,

If the Photos section of iCloud.com shows no content, then there's no Photos content that's been uploaded to the iCloud Photos service. This doesn't necessarily mean you've never taken pictures or videos on a compatible device, it oftenmeans you've never enabled iCloud Photos to sync to the Apple ID you're logged into the website with.

There's no one other way to put the Photos content into this section of the iCloud website other than by enabling iCloud Photos on a device and having that device's Photos library uploaded to the iCloud website.

If you're certain iCloud Photos is enabled on your devices, then it's either you're logging into the incorrect Apple ID, or you have an account issue that may need to be addressed. Make sure that your iPhone and iPad are logged in with the same account you're using on the website. You can verify the account in Settings > [your_name], and the email address will be shown right on the top of the page for iPhone and iPad.

If you're sure that the Apple ID is the same one you're logging into, you'll have to arrange a call with Apple Support to solve any account issue you might have.
