Ipod (First Generation) Repair

Ive had this flywheel iPod since new (2001?). Tried to get it repaired in the UK. Problem is the Apple logo illuminates, then goes off but when I press menu I get the briefcase with the exclamation mark screen.

Does anyone no the problem.

Does anyone know where in the UK or US I can get it fixed. The iPod was my lead into Apple, since when i had had multiple devices. Now on iMac M1, iPhone, iPads!

iPod, iOS 9

See Obtaining service for your Apple product after an expired warranty - Apple Support. I would imagine the hard drive has failed. Apple are no longer providing support for iPod classic, and I doubt third party repair shops can obtain parts for this older model either.
