iPhone 11 text boxes appearing off screen or partially off screen

Recently Google text search is appearing half off screen when I use it (normal size but half hidden by the top of the phone).

it means that every time I perform a search I have to manually scroll down first to see the text. A similar issue is also happening on at least one app, when I go to add to a list and the phone does not pull focus on the new field, I have to manually scroll to it.
