Will removing power from a Mac while it is still running, cause damage & will I lose that data & screens that are open?

Damage, no. Screens and data will very likely be lost. Any reason you can't turn it off normally?
Pressing and hold the power button. Eventually, it should turn off. Though that is not any different than unplugging it!
Thank you & I was using the share screen option between my IPad & IMac and after about 20 mins it froze. I also tried to log out but it want let me. The cursor moves but not allowing me to click
