the option for sending voice message has disappeared from my iPhone.
it only has a microphone option now that you can speak into but it just types the text automatically and doesn’t do it as an actual voice message.
iPhone 6s, iOS 10
Please input a Phone number first.
The Voice Message (Microphone) will only get activated for iMessage and not for SMS/MMS.
That means after you type in a Phone number or Apple ID in the "To:" field that has been registered for iMessage (Apple Devices) then the microphone icon will get activated for you to send Voice Messages

Thanks for you reply but that doesn’t work either unfortunately.
I think it happened after I did iPhone
update the. the voice messaging icon disappeared and left just the microphone that only allows voice texting
that’s again though
