Yahoo mail

iPhone 13. Only intermittently connects via Apple mail to yahoo.


go into mail and after waiting for a minute I get “Account Error Yshoo “


then I press on error message and


” Cannot get mail - the connection to the server failed. “


my internet connection is excellent and I have no issues with Hotmail, iCloud or Gmail.


I have already deleted Yahoo from my Apple mail app and reinstalled.


driving me crazy.


please help

Although you aren't noticing this with other email accounts, restart your iPhone if you haven't done so yet. Restarting will refresh iOS and can help correct some unexpected issues. iOS version 16.1.1 was recently released, so it's also a good idea to make sure your iPhone is running the latest iOS version since this can help with overall performance: Apple security updates 


Contacting your email provider or system administrator may also help as mentioned here: If you can’t send email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

1. Contact your email provider or check their status webpage to see if there's a service outage. 

2. Ask your email provider or system administrator if you turned on any security features or restrictions, like two-step verification, for your email account. You might need a special password or might need to request authorization from your email provider to send and receive email on your device.

3. Check your email account settings with your email provider or system administrator to make sure that they're correct.
