QuickTime Player echo issue while recording in Macbook M2 Pro

When I want to do recording audio or video using QuickTime Player, then I get louder echo which ruins my voice. For your better understanding I am explaining it in details while I open QuickTime Player for recoding then below the recorder icon volume button is muted if I record in the same default condition then I found no echo in my recording but while I unmute and increasing the volume below the recording icon, then I found echo in my recording and even I full the volume then echo is continuing louder and nasty like announcements mics does somehow. But when I put a microphone in my Macbook M2 Pro Notebook, then no echo was found during recording either muted or unmuted condition. Is it something wrong with the hardware of the Macbook M2 Pro or its normal. My Current OS is Ventura but I was facing the same issue in Montrery OS also.

Hey there ensures_1,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. To get started, are you recording audio in QuickTime Player as shown in this link here: Record audio in QuickTime Player on Mac - Apple Support

If so, we'd recommend testing the issue in safe mode which can help to determine if the issue may be caused by some software that has loaded when starting your MacBook up.

For steps on how to boot in safe mode, and what to do if the issue does or doesn't occur in safe mode, check out this link here: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

How to use safe mode

Apple silicon
1. Shut down your Mac.
2. Turn on your Mac and continue to press and hold the power button until you see the startup options window.
3. Select your startup disk, then press and hold the Shift key while clicking “Continue in Safe Mode.”
4. Log in to your Mac. You might be asked to log in again.

Keep us updated on the results.

Have a great day!

ensures_1,

It's not normal, and we would like to have you test recording in a test user account. This will help with determining if this is a system wide issue, or related to something within your account.

To set up a test user, follow the steps below. Then log out of your account and sign into the test account and test recording with QuickTime and the Mac's internal speakers.

Found in Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

Add account
Create a new user or group.
Click the New Account pop-up menu (you may be asked to enter your password), then choose a type of account.
• Administrator: An administrator can add and manage other users, install apps, and change settings. The new user you create when you first set up your Mac is an administrator. Your Mac can have multiple administrators. You can create new ones, and convert standard users to administrators. Don’t set up automatic login for an administrator. If you do, someone could simply restart your Mac and gain access with administrator privileges. To keep your Mac secure, don’t share administrator names and passwords.

Reach back out and let us know the results using the test user account.

Cheers!

I have run the QuickTime player in safe mode also but i found the same issue. I have also reinstalled my os but again I am facing the same issue. Can you tell me please is it normal or something wrong with my MacBook? While I increase volume button below record botton in QuickTime player then echo gets started. More volume more echo no volume (or muted) no echo.
