Can I backup 2 phones on the family plan

We'd like to help share some details on the expectations with Family Sharing iCloud. Looking over Family Sharing - Apple under "Share an iCloud storage plan with your family." this mentions "Your entire family can share a single iCloud storage plan large enough to store everyone’s photos, videos, and files. Each person’s files and documents remain private, but it’s easy to see how much storage everyone is using. If you need more space, you can upgrade to a larger plan at any time."

The devices that can backup would use the iCloud storage. If there is available storage, they can back up because they are sharing in the Family Storage. We hope this clarification helps. Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
