Can I pair my Apple Watch to my Company issued iPhone?

Our company provides iPhones on the company's cellular account. Employees have asked if they can buy an Apple Watch and pair to their iPhone.

Do Apple Watches need to reside on the same cellular account as the iPhone targeted for pairing? Or can the accounts be different?

If you have an enterprise or corporate cellular service plan, check with your company or carrier to see if they support this feature. Pre-paid accounts and some older accounts aren’t currently supported. To make sure that your account is eligible, contact your carrier.

For the iphone you carry with you (as opposed to your father's iphone on a family share) it needs to be the same network provider.
