Inability to reorder address field in Mac Contacts app

I can't quite believe that Apple does not allowed the reordering of addresses entered for a contact in the Mac Contacts app.

I have a number of friends that have moved address recently, but I want to keep their old address associated with their details. Simply adding a new 'home' address, and renaming the old address to 'old home' means the old address is the primary listing (at the top). There is no functionality within the app to recognise 'home' or 'work' and automatically shift these to the top of the list of addresses. This would be cool, but OK. However, neither is there the simple functionality to drag the new 'home' address to the top of the list of addresses.

Apple's suggestion appears to be: (i) delete the original address; (ii) enter the NEW address; and (ii) then re-enter the now old address you just deleted, underneath. Basically, to manually re-type everything that already exists in the Contacts database.

Being able to drag and drop address fields cannot be a huge thing to implement, surely? Apple used to consider itself a champion of human-centred design...
