Can I set up my Phonak TV connector with Apple TV?

can a Phonak TV Connector for hearing aids be used with Apple TV, and if so, how?

Apple TV HD, tvOS 16

You should connect that to your TV instead.

The Phonak TV Connector will want wired input through Optical/Toslink or 3.5 mm analog audio jack.

The Phonak TV Connector and Apple TV box wouldn’t be aware of each other, as the TV is intermediate. You may need to set the TV for audio passthrough. You should leave Apple TV to output for regular TV speakers. You may need to set the Audio Format to Dolby Digital or Stereo.

Thank you. That’s what I thought, but changed out models for my husband’s hearing aids and having trouble setting up the new model. We only have the optical connection, so may need to switch to analog and make the sound adjustment. Again, thank you so much!
