AOL mail saying it can’t connect to server. Anyone having the same problem? Using the mail app on the iPhone and iPad..no problem on the AOL app.

I had the same issue intermittently yesterday. Not connecting again this morning. Deleted the mail account and tried to re-add, now i cant even re-add the account. AOL app works just fine, not getting notifications even though they are turned on, but the mail loads in the app.

The mail loads now, this is good.

But has no content, sometimes this does happen to me.

I believe this is more to do with AOL servers, my internet speed or I have too much emails saved (date back to 2011).

Are you using the IMAP servers?

I use AOL no issues here but I don’t use the AOL apps.

Apple mail is good enough for me.

When I get issues like that, I sometimes delete then add the account again.

I’ve had no problems with AOL mail. I also use Apple mail, not the app. Try Davidlaw08’s suggestion.
