I’d like to receive Health Sharing Notification

I am having a problem which is that I was able to share my health data to my wife from my iPhone 12 Pro Max running iOS 16.1.1 however I am not receiving a notification inviting me to receive her share.

She has invited me from her iPhone 12 Mini running iOS 16.1.1…. On her phone it say invite pending.

After opening up the Health app and selecting the Sharing tab, I see “No one is sharing data with you.”

I have tried restarting my iPhone, and gets. Also both iPhones are up-to-date regarding updates.

I seriously cannot believe you just sent me an instruction on how to share as a response to my question. Especially, since I said that I have already shared my data with her and that we have restarted the phones.

its quite frustrating to keep getting g the response of restart your phone to so many questions. By now people likely restart their phone as a first reaction to any problem. It makes people feel like you do not think much of them when this is the only response. I’ve looked at other discussion threads on this subject and absolutely no one has ever had this problem resolved by restarting their phone.

what exactly is the job of community specialist? Are there actually no Apple employees that respond in these discussions?

Hello robjphillips,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We want to make sure that you are both able to share Health app data with each other.

Please have her restart her device then try these steps to share:

"Share health data with a loved one

People you share health data with can also view the health notifications you receive, including high heart rate and irregular rhythm notifications. You can also share notifications for significant trends, such as a steep decline in activity.

To share with somebody, you need to include them in your contacts, and they need an iPhone with iOS 15 or later.

  1. Tap Sharing at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Set up sharing for the first time: Tap Share with Someone.
    • Share with an additional contact: Tap “Add another person,” then tap Next.

3. Use the search field to find someone in your contacts list.

4. To select someone, tap their contact information.

5. Tap See Suggested Topics or Set Up Manually.

6. Choose topics to share.

7. Scroll down to see all topics on a screen, then tap Next to see the next screen.

8. Tap Share, then tap Done.

Your invitation appears as a notification on your contact’s iPhone and on their Sharing screen in Health, where they can accept or decline your invitation.

You receive a notification when your invitation is accepted."

This information is from Share your data in Health on iPhone - Apple Support.

We hope this helps so that she can share her data with you like you expect.

Cheers!
