iBooks - new iOS16 is horrible

My question is really for Apple. WHY do you insist on changing things that do not need fixing?! Put iBooks back to what it was. The new update is garbage for iBooks. It wasn’t broken. The page turning is so sensitive now i flip multiple pages at a time. You’ve combined all of the functions into the bottom corner. By doing so, it’s just annoying to mark bookmarks. You also removed the look of a page turning?! Why? That was one of the great features. Made it feel a little more like a book. Please, just stop making ridiculous useless changes. How about updating the physical content rather than messing around with things that are already great the way they are.

I so very much agree! Why do they insist on pushing things nobody wants on us? I loved it on two updates ago (OS 14?). I moved books where I wanted them, not “adding” to a collection, so all of them were not in the main Library. Now my library is a jumbled mess. Even if I tried to reorganize them before this update, it would just reset itself whenever it felt like it. Asking Apple for help was pointless - they expected me to just know where everything was, and then wouldn’t even answer support tickets. It took me two months to figure out where the update all option was, and I’m fairly decent at tech stuff.

We didn’t need everything condensed into one button. It’s getting to the point that we’re going to need an instruction manual to use iBooks. They’d probably download it into iBooks for us for free, but it would get put in some obscure place we’d never find.
