How to make Samsung Printer ML1915 work with macOS Ventura on an m1 Mac?

I am trying to get my old but finely working Printer to run under macOS.

I worked through all of this Samsung ML1915 printer driver for use wit… - Apple Community

Nothing worked. Best I got was a page printed that said "Internal Error - Please use the proper Driver."

I tried using other Samsung Printer Driver, I know this is not safe at all, but what shall I say also not a single one worked.

So is there any Solution for this particular printer? Sadly I can't buy a new one at the Moment and there is no list of Printers that actually work, so buying a used one is not really an option as it might also not work...

Samsung sold his Printer Division to HP and HP doesn't care and won't adjust the old drivers to the new os.. 😔

Hi,

First of all, please note that the latest universal driver version is (Sep 29, 2022) V3.93.06 for macOS 12.

This may or may not be important in this very case.

If the universal driver does not work, another discussion Samsung ML-1860 and latest MacOS could perhaps be of interest to you. The workaround described by Matti Haveri in the discussion (about another model) is intended to address a problem with a downloaded package not opening/installing under the latest operating system versions. Perhaps worth a try. Under Samsung Printer Drivers v2.6 for OS X, the article Printer and scanner drivers for Mac - Apple Support lists a Samsung ML-191x252x Series version 1.08.01 driver.

Before testing any printer driver, make sure that you have backup copies of all important files (documents, photos, et cetera). Software conflicts cannot be ruled out.
