Apple Watch won't charge or turn on
Apple Watch Series 2 isn't charging or turning on.
I have a charging stand that I keep it on each night. So I start each morning with 100%, and the watch rarely or ever dies. Well about 11 am, I noticed it was unresponsive and have since tried all the tricks to revive it with no success. I will list the troubleshooting steps I have tried so that someone can find a hole in my process or something I have yet to consider.
- I stopped using the 3rd party stand for charging and plugged the Original Apple USB into a wall outlet to ensure adequate juice.
- I have held both side buttons down for 10-15 seconds (I probably have tried this 25x's now)
- I have gone into the apple watch app on my iPhone and tried the reset, and it says, "Could Not Connect to Apple Watch - Make sure your Apple Watch is nearby, powered on, and not in Airplane mode."
The only responses I have been able to extract from the watch are while on the charger & while attempting to reset by holding down the two side buttons, the Apple logo flashes and disappears in 0.01 seconds. It is not the "flashing" that other people have talked about where it is on purpose. Instead, it is like the rapid appearance of the logo flashing and then going immediately. No cadence to the flashes, and I can't do anything specific to make them keep showing up. I've noticed the watch is very warm/hot on the charger since this whole thing started yesterday.
