0.5 ultra wide lens not zooming out during video

I had an iPhone 11 a few years ago now. It used to zoom out to 0.5 while i was filming a video even when i was on normal mode it would zoom out to 0.5 and zoom into 5 all while taking a video. Ever since i’ve had my iPhone 12 Pro i have never been able to zoom out past 1x while taking a video and zoom in past 3x. I have ‘view outside of frame on’ but it’s still not working is this normal?

Hi there kacie80,

We can provide some guidance. When recording a video on your iPhone, it's normal to only see the 1x option, but you can further adjust the zoom from there with the slider:

For a more precise zoom on models with Dual and Triple camera systems, touch and hold 1x, then drag the slider to the left.
