Hello if I purchase an iPad through AT&T can I take it to apple for the engraving ?

Apple will only engrave products during manufacture. This service is only offered for devices ordered directly from Apple’s online Store. Engraving is not offered in-store or retrospective to purchase.
Be aware that after-market engraving by a third-party may void the device warranty.
