Humming left AirPod pro in transparency

I have disconnected & reconnected AirPods from both iPhone and iPad multiple times. Have a distinct humming in LEFT pod only when in Noise cancellation or transparency only. Not when those features are off. I also put on the rain background noise and set to zero with no help. What else if anything can I do? Is there some accessibility setting to change

Hi G2dds,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. If you are using AirPods Pro (1st generation) use the guidance from If your AirPods Pro (1st generation) make crackling or static sounds - Apple Support which is related to the issue you've mentioned and should help.

1. Make sure that you have the latest software on your connected iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac.
2. Check that your connected device is nearby, and there's no wireless interference or obstructions between you and your device
3. Listen to audio from a different app to see if the app causes the issue.
If you still experience sound quality issues—or if the issues increase in loud environments, with exercise, or while talking on the phone—refer to AirPods Pro Service Program for Sound Issues.

If the same continues, check out the repair program mentioned to see if your AirPods Pro are included. If so, reach out to Apple Support for more help.

All the best.

I had two problems with my airpod pros. One produced a high pitch squeaking noise when I adjusted it, and the other produced a low freq humming noise. I found the source of the problem for my airpod pros and I'm curious if it the source of everyone's problems. I found it was an issue with the rubber tips and nothing to do with the electronics! I was wearing them with no music playing and was at a coffee shop playing loud music when I noticed the humming sound appeared. I also switched the tip of the airpod with the low humming sound to the airpod that wasn't and the humming sound switched to that that airpod! Finally, I replaced the tips and no more high pitch or low humming! I'd love to know if this works for other folks! My best guess is that the tips wear down and they no longer form a tight fit on the airpods and start to vibrate due to a poor attachment.
