Change picture in Game Center profile

I found a question on this in 2020 where the answer was it's not possible to use your own profile picture for Game Center. I can't believe this really isn't possible when every account I have for pretty much anything supports this ability.

Do Apple have any plans to make this possible... other than to provide a little editor that forces you to create something with very little imagination or capability?
