The rewind/fast forward feature on my Apple 4K remote is no longer working. I’ve tried all of the steps listed to repair remote and it still isn’t functioning. How do I fix this issue?
Other features are working correctly on the remote. But not being able to rewind/fast forward is really bothering me.

Try restarting just the remote, as detailed in: If your Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote isn't working - Apple Support.
Continuous FF/RW (#2) may not be supported in apps that use their own video player, like YouTube, but previously mentioned methods (#1) (#3) should work in almost any video app.
It’s a Siri Remote First Gen.
The fast forward/rewind feature is a problem with every app - YouTube tv, Amazon, Apple TV, Netflix, etc. It’s frustrating.
