Use Macbook and Homepod as stereo pair

Recently i discovered that you can use your MacBook speakers as a stereo pair with 1 HomePod Mini when you airplay from your iPhone, which is a super cool feature. Yet i struggle to find how to do it from my MacBook and google has no information on it. Is it even possible to use your MacBook speakers and homepod mini speaker simultaneously?

Hello naikeytodorov,

It sounds like you've set up the HomePods as a stereo pair already with your iPhone, as outlined here: Set up a HomePod stereo pair - Apple Support

Once that's done, if you go to Sound on the Mac (specifically from the Control Panel in the top men bar), are you able to see the stereo pair? Make sure there's audio actively playing on the Mac. It should display the HomePods and allow you to switch the output.

Cheers!
