macbook pro with MacOS Ventura

Since Updating to Ventura I have been unable to put my MacBook Pro to sleep.

When I press Sleep on the Apple drawdown menu,the computer goes to sleep for about 5 seconds and then wakes up again.

When I leave the computer on the auto Sleep mode does not kick in so I have to always turn the computer off when I am not using it.

Does anyone know how to correct this?
