I forgot my note password and I’ve been updating it and it still doesn’t let me go in it in my old notes
I can’t go in my old notes because I don’t remember my password in it’s not letting me updating it

If you have forgotten your Notes password.....you will not be able to access your Notes. That is the way it is. Here is the pertinent info from an Apple Support document:
Apple doesn't have access to locked notes and can’t help you access them if you forget your notes password. If you forget your notes password, resetting the password doesn’t give you access to previously locked notes.
Sorry, but you have no other options.
