Missing / Lost Send Later / Scheduled Email

Last night on my MacBook Pro I composed a long email with attachments on Mac Mail. I hit Send Later and scheduled it to send at 9am. My computer was left on and mail was open come 9am.

I was sending from an outside email domain. No an iCloud account.

No one received my email. It’s not in my sent folder. It’s not in any folder (I’ve run extensive searches and checked all email folder structures).

I saw in a support article on the new feature, something to the effect of “if you haven’t scheduled an email before, it may take a minute or two for the ‘Send Later’ mailbox to appear in the left pane.

Ive since tried to schedule another email and again the folder has not populated - the email has been lost.

Osx Ventura is fully up to date.

Where can I look for my emails?

How can I fix this issue and be able to use send later?

yours is not the first report I have heard. I would hope a point update to the new Ventura macOS 13.0.1 would resolve the issue.
