How do I send an iPad to Apple for recycling?

I have a non-working ipad that I would like to send to apple for recycling or whatever they do with them. How do I go about it?

Follow the trade-in process shown the support document linked below. It will offer a Recycle option if the iPad is not working. Just follow the steps there to complete the process. You should receive a return box to complete the recycle process.

Contact Apple Support directly and they should be able to provide you with the steps to get your old iPad shipped to them for recycling. Alternately, if you have an Apple Store nearby, they can take it for this purpose.
