How do I get rid of a Denial of service virus attack?

2 attachments. Am able to get rid of it by certain keystrokes, but it keeps coming back. Have not/will not respond to it, have not contacted Apple either, except for this question to the Community.

Understood, but why does it keep popping up? I can escape it with cmd/esc and shut down my computer, which is how I was able to take the screen shots, but it keeps reappearing. Am I just getting randomly hit while clicking links while cruising web sites?

Or is this something NOW on my computer that I need to somehow delete/get rid of?

At the top of the screen on screenshot #1 shows an app address: whale-app-afd2k.ondigitalocean.app

I did a Finder search of my computer for that file title/app address, hoping to delete it, but nothing turned up.

Also, is this something I should report to Apple?

It certainly is spam. It's likely not much more that a pop-up on the web page you're using.

You can be sure it's a scam because a) it references a '.dll' file, which is unique to Windows systems, and b) there is NO WAY Apple would refer to your system as 'this PC'.

There may be some underlying malware installed on your system that's triggering it (e.g. redirecting you to this page even if you don't follow a specific link), but most of those are pretty easy to detect (look in Safari Preferences -> Extensions and remove anything there that you don't recognize/trust).

You can also tell from the URL that the page is hosted on digitalocean.com (a hosting platform) (if it were really Apple, it would be on apple.com, but we already know it's fake). It may be worth reporting the URL to Digital Ocean so they can take action against the scammer
