All my components run thru my receiver, when I listen to music from Apple TV, I can’t turn off my tv screen without the system shutting down, should I set it APPLE TV to HDMI 1?

Is there a way to have the AppleTV only turn on a tv and not a processor? I have a small home theater in my living room that makes use of an av processor that my AppleTV is connected to. Most of the time I only need sound coming out of the tv and I’ll turn on the receiver when watching movies. Is there a way to have the AppleTV only turn on the tv by default without the processor? Currently the only option is to control “tvs and receivers” but I’d like to only control the tv.

The Apple TV is designed for a TV and is expecting that signal, if the display is turned off then the content is also likely to stop. If wanting an experience with just music it is best to use a system that can accept music directly or supports options like airplay for casting.
