External HDR monitor doesn't work properly after MacOS 12.3.1 and MacOS 13

Hey the community.


I think a lot of mac users had the same issue as I'm facing. When you plug an HDR monitor into your Mac with the system version of MacOS 12.3.1 or newer version even 13.0.1, the HDR model won't work properly.


Issues:

HDR content can't be displayed in HDR mode. The screen is grey and yellow. While the internal display of Macbook Pro 2021 M1 is working great and displaying HDR content great as usual.



Hardware:

Macbook Pro 2021 M1 pro.

Innocn 27'' HDR M2U minotor.

Thunderbolt cable.


Software:

MacOS 12.3.1 and MacOS 13.0.1

IINA player.


I'm sure the Monitor is fine as it works with my iPad Pro m1 and my Windows PC. HDR content displayed in it's correct way.


I tried to communicate with my monitor manufacturer but they didn't find issues from their end.

I tried to tickle the setting:

When you try to change the "color profile" in display setting, it will correctly display the HDR content for 0.5 second and then goes back to gray and over-bright screen.

I tried to find something useful from the Community, but no, nothing was found. It looks like a system bug. 12.3.1 or later system break the support. :-(

Your support is appreciated by me but unluckily it's not working for me.

I think it's a system level issue that need to be solved by the tech team, as more ppl are facing the same issue here Anyone else having trouble with HDR in ma… - Apple Community.


I will wait and keep eyes on this.
