Update 16.1.1 Disaster !!

After updating to 16.1.1 on Nov 16 my contact history became a disaster.

If I dial to anyone using any service phone / Facetime / WhatsApp, the last call I have in history will show a multi contact call. And it selects these contacts randomly, so if I tried to call the last call on the list the phone will initiate two or three group call!

The disaster is these people will see the group call on their phones as if I intentionally did.

Imagin if you have a wife and a girlfriend and your iPhone decides to put them on one phone call ... You better say your prayers after that phone call.

What the **** happened here?

I tried messaging Apple, and they didn't solve it (maybe understand it) and they sent me customer support phone number.

Any help

Let's continue ruling out some other possible causes, along with confirming more details about the issue:

You mentioned this occurs when initiating a call from your recent calls list, but are we correct understanding that you're also tapping on one contact only from the recent calls list, and not a recent group call?

Are you syncing your contacts with more than one account? You can check by going to

Settings > Contacts > Accounts.

If not, can you provide a few more details? Are you selecting your contacts from recents or from the contacts app? Also, does this happen with all calls?

I have more than one account, but it has been like that since forever. !

Yes, it happens when I select to call from recent calls, and it happens with all calls.

If I select a contact from contacts app and I call him/her from there it will make a single phone call, but it will be added to the history as multiple phone calls.

Hi,

Yes, you are correct when I dial using the recent phone call list it calls a group (numbers selected randomly) and it happens when I use a one very single call not a group call (I don't do group calls anyway).

This issue made me place a $60 international call instead of using WhatsApp!!

I used the call history to place the call, but the phone has added the international number instead and I thought it's a call from my WhatsApp history.

It's becoming frustrating!!

I did the restart thing, but it didn't help.
