16.0.3 software on iPhone 12
i am a passenger in ford edge with car attached Bluetooth. Dials using Siri. Won’t search the web though. A car image shows on phone screen. I used to be able to do this. Help

posts about this issue anywhere else.
i have driving focus (formerly driving mode) set to “manual” but whenever I try to use Siri with iPhone connected to the car stereo by BT, I get the car icon slash screen and Siri says “i can’t search the the web on iPhone.” This dates back to maybe ver 16.0.1 or so.
i compared this with having driving focus enabled and the behavior isn’t the same. This seems like some kind of bug.
In this thread from several years ago, re-pairing BT with the car is suggested to fix this. It didn’t help me.
