music videos freezing

I have moved my Music library off of my MacMini 2018 to a separate hard drive. Songs play without any problems, but videos often freeze within the first 30 seconds of playback. Any idea what might cause this? Possible fixes? Thanks.

Music (still!) hangs on 'Saving Music Library' This issue continues to persist and it appears nothing has been done about it despite years of people logging the same thing! I have a large library of tracks (200k+) on and external drive, but the .musiclibrary file is on the local disk. macOS Ventura. Making a change to the library such as adding tracks and then closing the app causes it to get stuck on the 'Saving Music Library' dialog box about 50% of the time. When you force quit it loses any of the changes from that session. Sometimes if you leave it for several hours it goes away. I've tried all the suggestions people have mentioned over the years. This is beyond frustrating. It has been an issue since long before the name was changed from iTunes.

Loading Music Library stuck - posted for reference I have a Macbook Pro late 2013 running Big Sur. When I tried to sync it with my Apple Music library it simply spun its wheels - even after leaving it running for 24 hours. No amount of reboots or upgrades had any effect. Completely signing out from my Apple ID had no effect. The solution was to close Music, go into Finder ~disk/Users/~username/Music/Music and delete the file Music Library - taking a copy of the file beforehand just in case. I then rebooted the Macbook and started to sync the Music Library. It took approximately two minutes to sync. Clearly something was corrupt in the old music library file.
