I recently updated my mac os to 13.01. Now, terminal is not working properly. zsh killed ls, mkdir. I tried changing to bash as well same error comes up. I thought my homebrew got some problem and tried to uninstall the app but i could not it says "Unable to create temp dir '/tmp/uninstall.2615' ". Does anyone knows whats going on here ?

All that is doing is shoving Homebrew to the end of the path. When you run commands, you will be running the system versions instead of the Homebrew versions. That could cause problems later on if you attempt to use Homebrew for something and can't figure out why some things work and some things don't.

unfortunately I can't find any solution.
I got mine solved as well. I had to add this line on zshrc:
export PATH=/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11/bin:$PATH

For those keeping score at home, the solution described in that Stack Overflow post is essentially deleting Homebrew.
And it is a great solution!
