Images not appearing in emails

Images aren't appearing in email body, regardless of account. I've changed my privacy settings in Preferences and now can Load Content Directly on each but that's time consuming when they used to load automatically. Forums suggest "remote loading of images" but I'm not finding that option.

Hi maganalfred,

Per Add attachments to emails in Mail on Mac:

"To display an attachment (such as a one-page PDF document or an image) as an icon, Control-click the attachment in your message, then choose View as Icon. To show the attachment again, Control-click it, then choose View in Place."

This should allow your attached images to display as pictures rather than icons on messages you send.

If the concern is related to incoming messages, open macOS Mail, then go to Preferences and the Privacy tab. If the "Protect Mail Activity" or "Block All Remote Content" boxes are checked, images may be prevented from downloading and displaying. Learn more at Use Mail Privacy Protection on Mac.

Regards.
