FWIW, Stage Manager defaults to the left unless you have the Dock set to the left.

In Stage Manager, how I can I open apps on the current stage? When opening a new app, a new stage is created for that app. This leads to a lot of clicking to move that window to the current stage. Is there a way to add the new window to the current stage? A similar use case is opening a PDF via the Finder. I want to see that in addition to my current windows and not have to move everything around first.

Is there a way to "pin" an app to the desktop in stage manager? Before I used stage manager, I would keep Music open in the background for easy access. With stage manager, it swaps when I change apps, and I was wondering if there is some way to "pin" it to the desktop so that it stays open (i.e. visible) but I can still change app groups in stage manager?

Can you open new Apps in Current Stage? Loving the new Stage manager, however there is one behavior of it that is just driving me through the roof. Whenever you open a new application, it gets put into a new stage all by itself. Thats nice sometimes, but Im often building stages of multiple applications together. Thus I would love if when opening a new application, it would add that to the current stage I am viewing, rather than a new one altogether. At the very least, this could be a stage manager setting that could be toggled (ie "open applications in new stage")...
